Hypermedia & Mikhailova

Last thursday, May 5th/2009 in my Tatis Class [That's the way I call Applied Informatic-Educational Purposes] I saw the the presentation of some classmates about Hypermedia. Some of them were un-known people from other semesters… I was surprised I hadn’t seen them before. But this is not the point, the important matter is that they were talking about something I’ve been using and I hadn’t realized that the technical term is Hypermedia.

This blog is a support of it. It has a video with an interview with Professor Julian Martinez. Here ou can also find pictures related to UIS news -jokes-. Texts about love, experiences as teachers, a biography… And there are lots of links to other partners’ blogs that were created for sharing ELT issues and essays.

Hypermedia is also recognized because it provides human interaction, here you can comment on the blog entries and also it is possibe to create forums about topics of wide interest. Anyway, I will add some more examples. Let me show you:

Teacher’s Prayer (教师的心愿)

I found this very cute thing a few minutes ago… I like it despite of refering to a prayer and God stuff… The desire of this pray is pretty close to what once I dreamed when I was a child. Well, it is still my desire☺.

On vacations???

Well yeahhh… But, did u rest? I just spent more time sleeping and finishing little projets at home… I didn’t read, which makes me feel this time as a waste of GOLD…

My little projects are not about blogging, but I’m kind of concerned about the return (of the king:P) to classes and having the foggiest idea about tasks that I may have but that (for diverse circumstances) I don’t remember.

Haven’t you seen this babilla at UIS? It’s pretty cool when you feed the fish and he gets closer and closer and closer… and then he tries to catch them… bu in fact it is so lazy… it’s very rare to see it eating the fish. (But they do)

Amazing Video

This video was a kind of message form heaven, well just kidding. I was tired because I always had found the way to keep my students on task, but my lack of experience made of me a disorganized teacher. Sometimes I just came up with an appealing activity for my little students, but the lack of preparation made its part and the things I wanted to obtain weren’t the result that I got. One day, as I was surfing the web, I found on Youtube this amazing video, the first time I saw it i was in shock, and certainly I thought that those kids were kind of robots… but later I saw more of those videos and I was surprised by the “technic that this teachers use to teach.youtube.co”.

Well, I’d like to know what do you think about this “technique”, and if you would use it… or any other comment that you have about these videos.

 

Well, I did try some of this things with children in playground, and it works pretty funny.

Teachers…

Hello classmates, we are almost on the finish line of our study program. I have to confess that I decided to study English because I like languages, but I had my doubts about TEACHING as a profession. I have to say that in this very moment I feel anxious for all the things that I have discovered in this field… What about your experiences?
